Abstractly was founded in 2024 to help managers who are unsure how to achieve their team goals by effectively utilising their people. Many managers struggle with defining what their ideal team looks like and how to align their people with business objectives. Since people are the heart of a successful team, getting this right is critical.
From organising tasks to creating career development opportunities, the process can feel overwhelming and challenging. Managers often find themselves unsure of who should be responsible for what and whether new talent is needed, leading to stress, delays, and poor decision making. This confusion and even overwhelm can result in prolonged hiring cycles, regrettable hires, unfortunate redundancies or ineffective restructuring.
At Abstractly, we provide a more intentional and structured approach to team design and building. Our goal is to empower managers with the clarity, strategies, and knowledge they need to build their ideal teams that align with business objectives and drive success.
Hi! I'm Mallory!
I’m Abstractly.
I've spent the better part of two decades immersed in the world of human resources and recruitment. I have been fortunate enough to work across a range of industries such as local and state government, FMCG, retail, technology and hospitality sectors. This allowed me to see what companies have in common and what makes them unique. Throughout my career, I noticed a significant gap in the training for managers about designing and building their ideal teams. Many managers are winging their team structure and struggle to see how they are perceived from the outside, which hinders their team building efforts. Furthermore I could see that Managers were becoming overwhelmed with the thoughts of needing to design their ideal team or recruit new team members.
This observation inspired me to make a change.
I founded Abstractly with a clear mission: to empower Managers to build their ideal teams through intentional team design and considered recruitment efforts.
I believe in empowering managers to be confident in their own team design and building abilities and in improving the companies' candidate and employee experience. By bridging these gaps, I aim to transform the way Mangers build their teams, making the building part a seamless and successful experience.
And with qualifications not only in human resources, and also in counselling and events management, I believe that this will give companies the benefit of a holistic approach with the services provided.
Ultimately I don't want anyone think that building a team is a headache.
